Eastbourne’s first WAVE, Dance of Awareness was a great success and such a joyful, heartwarming experience. A big thank you to all of you who were there and so fully entered into The Dance. We are already planning the next one sometime in June, possibly 18th at the same time in the same place.
The Dance of Awareness is a creative approach to self-understanding, a moving meditation practice, a body-mind workout, an opportunity to express yourself and connect with others. There are no steps to learn, and no way of getting it wrong. All you need is the willingness to tune in to your own body and allow it to respond in any way that feels right, and pleasurable.
The DoA is led by Tim Brown,a bodywork therapist and group leader. Tim is particularly interested in the ‘dance of awareness’ between body, mind and spirit. He has run over 500 workshops in music, movement and awareness, including the weekly Wednesday Wave dance evenings in Brighton, and Dance of Awareness events and workshops in the UK and abroad.
